Brave, idealistic, and determined, the Lady Kamea Arano is the daughter of the late High Lord Tamati Arano II (Born 2970, died 3022). Tamati Arano II was a High Lord of the Aurigan Coalition. He succeeded his father, High Lord Tamati Arano I, in 2988. Tamati is remembered throughout the Reach as a kind and benevolent ruler. His key accomplishments include a military campaign against pirate activity on Fjaldr, the expansion of social welfare on Coromodir VI, and the Coalition-funded renovation of the Espinosa Refit Yards. Tamati and his wife, Lady Sara Arano, were tragically killed in a JumpShip accident in 3022.

Kamea Arano is faced with a Reach in decline and a powerful reactionary force in the form of her uncle and House Espinoza. However, she is determined to reform the reach away from her uncle's authoritarian vision, towards a more democratic, fair nation. The [[Coronation Day]] coup and the subsequent destruction of the Madeiran dropship led to her being pronounced dead by Directorate media. However, together with Lord [[Alexander Madeira]], she found refuge on a small world called Zathras, where the Directorate's assassins finally gave up. She was saved by the [[Magistracy of Canopus]] forces, who have a keen interest in curtailing the dictatorial ambitions of Director Espinoza, to prevent the tensions between the [[Taurian Concordat]] and the [[Federated Suns]] from blowing up into a major war, provoked by the Directorate.

Bankrolled by the Magistracy, Kamea has convinced Lady Centrella to seek out your MechWarrior, recover the Argo, and start the Arano Restoration campaign - all while keeping the Magistracy's involvement secret. Just another war on the Periphery.
