Three Years Later is a storyline mission in Battletech.

    Synopsis[ | ]

Three years have passed since Coronation Day. With Raju and Lady Arano dead, you fell in with Markham's Marauders, earning your keep as a mercenary Mechwarrior. This mission is for the Independent Prospectors' League, and one taken out of desperation: The Marauders need money to cover loans and maintenance fees. Two months ago, a fleet of corporate DropShips from Majesty Metals & Manufacturing touched down on Ur Cruinne. They jumped the IPL claim, pushed them off of their mining platforms, and killed hundreds of miners in the process. It's time to set things to rights.

    Walkthrough[ | ]

    • Darius Oliveira, your XO, lays out the objectives. First, you are to assault platform Alpha, take down their turret generator to disable Majesty's fire support, then destroy the corporate security tower and anything that stands in your way. You start with a full lance: Your Blackjack BJ-1, a Vindicator VND-1R, a Shadow Hawk SHD-2H, and a Spider SDR-5V. Your morale abilities are also unlocked.
    • Platform Alpha is protected by a Commando COM-2D and a Spider SDR-5V, and two turrets. The generator is located to the side of the main building at platform A and should be a priority target. Disabling it eliminates all turrets on the map, leaving just the mechs.
    • A turn after you eliminate the turrets, you will be faced with another enemy mech, a Shadow Hawk SHD-2D. Eliminate it then return to the first mining platform.
    • Surprise, the IPL wants your mechs for protection. Of course, they're not inclined to paying, so it's either surrendering them or wiping out the IPL's defense grid. The decision is obvious. You're surrounded by four turrets and the miners also break out a Galleon, a Scorpion, and a Striker. First, destroy the red turret generator to save you the headache, then wipe out their vehicles. This completes the mission and results in Darius getting chewed out again for his vetting skills (or lack thereof).
    • Obviously, you do not receive a payout.
