Zeus ZEU-6S is a Assault-class 'Mech in Battletech.

Description[edit | edit source]

The Zeus 6S is an unusual BattleMech. It was designed to fill a 'light Assault' role, with a rate of speed more akin to that of a Heavy 'Mech. It is capable as a hit-and-run combatant, able to engage from long range thanks to its Large Laser, AC/5 and LRM-15. If forced to fight at close range, it can bring a pair of Medium Lasers to bear.

Loadouts[edit | edit source]

Sort of an Assault version of an Enforcer or Griffin 1N with less mobility in my opinion but with the 1 initiative being a big problem for hit and run(master tactician is almost a must) . Stock load out is actually fine but you can ditch the medium lasers and upgrade to an LRM 20 if you want or swap out the AC 5 for an AC 10 and change the Large laser to another medium laser. Probably the least effective Assault Mech' but still decent all the same.

The 85 ton ZEU-6S has 23.38 tons available if using full armor. This is because for an assault mech it has available four jump jets and movement speed similar to heavy mechs that are not super fast.

The extra weight combined with 2 ballistic slots allows for a decent hot weather build. Focusing on dual AC 5 while keeping medium lasers all around will keep a balanced build that runs just barely hot while dealing a pretty consistent and sustained damage on extremely hot worlds. It is important to use dual AC 5 because they collectively do more damage than 1 AC 10 and they have an overall better range and accuracy giving this mech the flexibility it needs to fill both medium and long range roles in a pinch.

  • The Zeus 6S moves faster than many other assault 'Mechs and mounts decent long-range weaponry. Its armor is very good, but it can get stuck in a tight spot if forced into closer-range fights.
  • The Zeus is, in all honesty, little more than an overweight Orion, and is heavily penalized by the reduced initiative.
